An Italian Family and its history of hits
Since Marcello Faggin set up his workshop at Udine in 1945, Faggin's firm has become famous throughout the professional cycling world, thanks to its accurate, modern and hardy frames.
A constant optimization
After the second world war, even if Marcello Faggin had to cope with a lot of difficulties, he was still obsessed by the research of a quality perfection. He never accepted compromises about tubes, conjunctions, decors or brazing, painting and welding.
Thanks to a continuos relationship with professional cyclists, he always new how to solve materials or structural problems, that eventually could cause cycling accidents or security allerts. His brand soonly became famous as a producer of high quality frames. Some big firms started ordering frames to his little workshop.
In 1945 Faggin workshop moved in Via Filiasi, in Padua, where it's still based nowadays, still making famous handmade frames. We have always been a family-firm, each one of us has contibuted to every single frame with high quality professional work and love the desing details. Every frame is a unique piece of an antique art. In the 50s, we were working at our best trend ever: we were producing about 50 frames per day.
The new generation
Since they were 15 years old, Marcello's daughters Maria Rosa, Gianna, Carla and Cristina have helpd their father in the frames production, brazing and welding as well. In the 70s, they officially became members of the firm, improving the antique art of frames' making modern innovating ideas.
